From the Ground Up
His career began at Roto-Rooter, the largest drain cleaning company in North America, where he advanced from Excavation Sales Manager to Excavation Operations Manager. That hands-on experience gave him deep expertise in the plumbing and drainage systems hidden behind walls and beneath foundations — knowledge that would prove invaluable when he transitioned into Water Mitigation Manager.
In that role, he was often the first person on-site for homeowners facing water damage, serving as their direct liaison to insurance carriers while leading operations teams to ensure properties were properly remediated. He earned IICRC certifications in Water Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD), prepared estimates aligned with IICRC and industry standards, and negotiated directly with insurers on inspections and settlements.
The Adjuster's Lens
To strengthen his advocacy for policyholders, he became a licensed All-Lines Property Adjuster, gaining the same inside knowledge insurance company adjusters use when interpreting coverage. This opened the door to a decade of catastrophic deployment across the country as an Independent Adjuster, helping homeowners recover after hurricanes, tornadoes, and named storms while working on behalf of major insurance carriers.
Serving New Jersey
A defining chapter followed when the State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs contracted him as a Construction Manager for the HARP program in the wake of Hurricane Ida. There, he drew on every phase of his career — mitigation, remediation, excavation, and insurance adjusting — to guide New Jersey residents through the complex recovery process.
